Intentions Life Coaching
Standards and Ethics
These criteria of professional ethics are based upon fundamental principles of moral and professional behavior. The following basic principles are the guiding factors in Intentions Life Coaching practice and upheld at all times:
Consider the well being of the client. The primary effort and ultimate goal is for "the greater good" of the client.
Honor the coaching profession, its history and tradition.
Respect the client's rights of confidentiality in the coach-client relationship.
Recognize coaching's limitations and acknowledge the special skills of professions including health and mental health professions.
Let professional responsibility, integrity and high standards of competence and skill be our guiding tenets.
As an ICF Professional Coach, I acknowledge and agree to honor my ethical and legal obligations to my coaching clients and sponsors, colleagues, and to the public at large. I pledge to comply with the ICF Code of Ethics, and to practice these standards with those I coach.
If I breach this Pledge of Ethics or any part of the ICF Code of Ethics, I agree that the ICF in its sole discretion may hold me accountable for so doing. I further agree that my accountability to the ICF for any breach may include sanctions, such as loss of my ICF membership and/or my ICF Credentials.
